VILLAGER S12 - 3
7,200 gallons / 26,640 liters per day
Filtration and Ultraviolet Light Disinfection
Stationary Solar Powered Water Purification System for Remote Applications using water from City Water, Wells, Cisterns and Water Tanks WITH water pressure.

Cleaner and Safer Drinking Water from most any from City Water, Wells, Cisterns, Bore Holes or Water Tank Sources
Aqua Sun engineered and manufactures the Villager S12-3, Solar / Battery Water Treatment System. This system is a wall mount water treatment system that can mate up with a deep well or surface mount solar powered water pumping system or use pressured water from a water tank, well, borehole or city water line and produce approximately 12 gallons / 44 liters per minute maximum, x 60 minutes = 720 gallons / 2664 liters per hour, x 12 hours = 8,640 gallons / 31,968 liters per day. This solar / battery system will be able to provide approx 24 hours of constant power before the battery will need to be recharged. Whenever the sun in shinning, the solar system will always be recharging the battery, even while the water treatment system is working. This system is also controlled by a 24 hour programmable electrical timer for energy savings. This system is a 12-volt electrical power system. This system comes as a turn-key package and is designed for easy installation as all of the wiring is pre wired and all that needs to be done is hang the water treatment system on the wall in a convenient location. Plumping in and out of the water treatment system is easy with 10 foot inlet female hose and a 10 foot outlet male hose pre-plumbed out of the system. The outlet side has a Flow Regulator (12 gpm max.) and a No Power Water Flow Shut Off Valve. The controller / battery box will need to be located with-in 10ft of the water treatment system. The battery is shipped separately or purchased on site to save in shipping costs and hassles. The Battery will need to have the positive and negative wires connected to the prewired system. Mount the solar panel in a sunny location within 25ft of the system in a convenient location. Attach the solar wires to the panel that are already prewired into the control box. Install filters and UV Lamp and plug into Control Box and the system is ready for operation. It is simple and easy to install the Villager S12-3 Solar / Battery Powered Water Purification Systems.
This Villager S12-3 System requires a minimum of 20 psi (75 max) to push the water through a Sediment Filter to remove the larger debris and sediment. The water is then pushed through a 0.5 micron Carbon Block Polishing Filter that has the capabilities of removing Giardia and Cryptosporidium Cysts, Entamoeba and Toxoplasma Cysts, Herbicides, Pesticides, Trihalomethanes (THMs), certain Volatile Organic Chemicals (VOCs), Chlorine and Chlorine By-Products, Sediment, Bad Taste, Odors, Color, Smell, and many other Harmful Chemicals and Contaminants. The polished crystal clear filtered water is then channeled past an Ultraviolet Light Disinfecting Process that has the ability to kill the Bacteria, Viruses, Typhoid Fever, Coliform, Dysentery, Cholera, Infectious Jaundice, Hepatitis and Influenza Virus, E-coli, Enteric Fever and many other unwanted microorganisms to a 99.999% purity.
The above filters can be substituted and changed out with Lead, Mercury, Arsenic or Fluoride Reduction Filters to meet most any water quality problems.

Filtration Components:
SEDIMENT FILTER
Removes ground water sediment and protects the carbon block filter from premature clogging. Not washable.
APPROXIMATE FILTER LIFE EXPECTANCY depends on how dirty incoming water is or 1 year maximum.
0.5 micron CARBON BLOCK
Removes and reduces giardia lamblia and cryptosporidium cysts, volatile organic chemicals "VOC's" pesticides and herbicides, benzene, sediment, color, bad taste and odors such as hydrogen sulfide "rotten egg smell" and many other microorganisms down to a 0.5 micron. This Carbon Block Filter polishes the water crystal clear for refreshing good tasting water.
APPROXIMATE FILTER LIFE EXPECTANCY 150,000 gallons / 555,000 liters or one year of clean incoming water maximum.
ULTRAVIOLET DISINFECTING LAMP
Clean, safe and natural UV light rays have the ability to kill the bacteria and virus to 99.999 % purity without any harmful side effects much like chemical agents normally added to drinking water. The ultraviolet range is ideal for killing Micro-organisms such as E-coli, Coli form, Cholera, Legionnaires Disease, Hepatitis Virus, Typhoid Fever, Dysentery, Infectious Jaundice, Influenza, Enteric Fever and many other unwanted Microorganisms.

Here are some things people have said about the Villager Systems
To: Aqua Sun International
Subject: back from Haiti
Hi Greg,
Returned last week from Haiti. I have a letter written to St. Andrew’s who financed the water purifiers for the 200 children at the orphanage and I will send you a copy. It was quite exciting to hear Sr. Leona (the principal) talk about the decrease in absences at school due to the illness because of the clean water. It was a huge problem before. She had tears in her eyes as she talked about the children.
We have another challenge. We send children who are really sick and need longer term care to Sister of Charity which is one of Mother Theresa’s Missions. These sisters are unbelievable. They help anyone who is sick! They boil water for everyone in the complex. There were 65 children when we were there. Mostly babies and small ones. We have a church trying to take this challenge. We visited the grounds twice. We have a church interested in taking the challenge of funding. ?
Please advice as to what you think we would again purchase the battery in Haiti now that we have that source.
Thanks for the parts. Perfect!
Thank you. Friends of the children

Subject: Villager System in Ghana W. Africa
Hi Greg,
I hope you are well. I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know the status of your system.
I finally commissioned the system in March 2002! and it has been running for 3 months. To be frank with you it is the best piece of equipment in my house.
My whole family feels safe in terms of water both for bathing and drinking. My brother came down from England with his 4 month old baby and was happy to give her drinking water straight from the tap. He is a 50 year old father and generally disinfects large chunks of the planet before his daughter arrives there!
Last week I changed one of the silt filters and it was filthy on the outside, I cut it open as an experiment and found the centre to be still very clean, so I am hooked.
Thanks very much.
Best regards
William Usmar
