Outpost 4 / PWP-4C : Solar / Battery Powered Filtration and Ultraviolet Light Disinfection
The Outpost 4 is a Solar / Battery Powered Filtration and Ultraviolet Light Disinfection Water Treatment System with 12-volt auxiliary power for areas with no power.
Approx. 4-6 gallons ( 14 liters ) per minute using solar / battery, 500 gallons ( 1850 liters) per day using solar / battery side. 240 - 360 gallons ( 888 liters) per hour using 12-volt auxiliary power, 1-6+.hours per day.
This system has the capabilities of producing cleaner and safer drinking water from almost any creek, stream, pond, well, lake or most any fresh water source at a volume production rate of 1 gallon (3.7 liters) per minute where water purification and electrical power are impractical or unattainable. The daily water production from the solar battery mode is up to 100+ gallons (370+ liters) per day.
For continuous water purification production a 15 ft long 12-volt electrical power cord is provided with a cigarette lighter plug and battery jumper cable clips that can be plugged into any car, truck, boat, plane, generator or any 12-volt electrical power supply source. When the system is operating under the auxiliary power (12-volt) mode, it is constantly re-charging the system's battery.
This System does not require any outside electrical power; nor is there a need for chemical additives. Water volume flow rates can be increased by using a specially designed manifold which allows 5 systems to be connected together to increase water volume production amounts to 5 gallons (18 liters) per minute or 2 sets for 10 gallons (37 liters) or greater amounts.

Aqua Sun International manufactures the Outpost for First Water Systems Inc., This Portable, Multi - Powered Water Purification System is for Remote Applications. The system has the capabilities of producing cleaner and safer drinking water from almost any creek, stream, pond, well, lake or most any fresh water source at a volume production rate of approximately 180 gallons / 666 liters per hour where water purification is impractical or unattainable. The approximate daily water production from the Outpost relies on the 2 different electrical power sources, Solar / Battery or the Auxiliary 12 volt DC or it can operate from a 120 volt AC Power Source as an extra.
Where standard electrical power is un-available or unattainable, this system can operate off of a solar electrical producing panel attached to the top of the frame and a 12 volt deep cycle battery. This system can produce approximately 500 gallons (1850 liters) per day as a stand alone system with no help from any outside electrical power source.
When using an auxiliary power source such as 12 volt power from a vehicle, generator, the Outpost system can produce approximately 180 gallons / 666 liters in 1 hour, or 720 + gallons / 2,664 + liters in 4 hours, or for continuous water purification production for how ever long the power source supplies electrical power to the system.
These Portable, Solar Battery / 12-volt Powered Water Purification Systems pull the water from the source and through a Washable / Reusable Filter, and then a 5.0 micron Sediment Pre-Filter. The water is then pushed through a 0.5 micron Carbon Block Polishing Filter that has the capabilities of reducing or removing Giardia and Cryptosporidium Cysts, Herbicides, Pesticides, Trihalomethanes (THMs), certain Volatile Organic Chemicals (VOCs), Chlorine and By-Products, Sediment, Bad Taste, Odors, Color, Smell, and many other Harmful Chemicals and Contaminants down to a 0.5 micron. The polished filtered water is then channeled past an Ultraviolet Light Disinfecting Process that has the ability to kill Bacteria, Viruses, Typhoid Fever, Dysentery, Cholera, Infectious Jaundice, Hepatitis & Influenza Virus, E-coli, Coliform, Enteric Fever and many other unwanted microorganisms to a 99.999% purity.
Life expectancy of the Carbon Block Filter with clean incoming water is approx. 150,000 gallons (555,000 liters) or 1 year.
The Ultraviolet Light life expectancy under normal usage is 12 to 18 months.
This System does not require a need for chemical additives to be added to the water.

PWP-V : 12-volt auxiliary powered operation only (solar panel and battery not provided). Purified water volume production rate is 1 gallon (3.7 liters) per minute; up to 720+ gallons (2664+ liters) per day (up to 12+ hours per day).
PWP-12: combination of solar panel & battery (provided) and 12-volt auxiliary powered operating capabilities at 3 gpm or 500 gpd.
